JGCA Gastric Cancer Treatment Guidelines
نویسنده
چکیده
“General Rules for Gastric Cancer Study,” published by the Japanese Gastric Cancer Association (JGCA), has contributed greatly to advances in both the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer in Japan. In March 2001, the Association published a new book, “Gastric Cancer Treatment Guidelines,” a set of guidelines prepared by a committee of the Association. This is the first time in Japan that guidelines have been published for the treatment of cancer. These guidelines are expected to promote evidence-based medicine in the field of gastric cancer. In addition, an explanation of the guidelines for the patients and their families was published last December. This book provides clear, easy-tounderstand information for the general public and may point to a new trend in the practice of cancer treatment.
